• ELSO has been conducting research. Connecting in person, on video, we are continually interviewing families and educators to hear how we can help prevent a Covid-19 learning loss.'

• We’ve been in the lab coming up with how we can help families navigate virtual education, access to quality education and groom our youth to be tomorrow’s leaders.

• Youth opinion drove selection of topics and activities - ranking the order of our efforts.

Yes, there will be straight forward experiments but there will also be stories, activities, engineering supplies and ways to share the fun on social media. We believe in rooting lessons in stories of resistance, folktales and legends, and identifying elders whose stories need to be elevated enriches education. Will you support this movement? 

WE HAVE ADAPTED

In response to Covid-19 we are so proud to share we will be offering a subscription to a curated experience for our youth with all of the materials, instruction, and context for your child to think like a scientist! Now it doesn’t matter where you live and how your internet is. You can supplement your child’s access to a quality STEAMED education!

DOING BUSINESS THE RIGHT WAY

• We responsibly quote and interview before sharing Indigenous folklore and legends

• We’ve prioritized sourcing supplies from organizations that support the work of social justice and equality in our communities.

• We primarily spend at Black, Brown, LatinX, and Indigenous owned establishments and will share referrals to every Black, Ingineous, and PoC owned supplier we patronize for every supply from thermometers to crayons.
