Tappin Roots (TR) is an environmental internship program for Black and Brown-identified high school students in the Greater Beaumont area. Tappin Roots was created by a collaborative group of Black and Indigenous-led organizations.
TR seeks to train and empower the next generation of environmental leaders and community leaders using:
Storytelling
Mentorship
Career exploration
Place-based learning
Healing practices
